Have a wonderful wedding experience by celebrating your vows at the Mt. Baldy Village Church and a fabulous reception at the Buckhorn Lodge. If a church wedding is not part of your plans, Pastor Ron will officiate your wedding at the Buckhorn, or at the location of your choice. We have several outdoor wedding venues available, including mountain view and stream side locations. Mt Baldy also has a Community Cross location that can seat up to 200 guests. Car & Bike Rallies

The Buckhorn Lodge boasts the largest parking lot in Mt. Baldy! If your car or motorcycle club is looking for a great place to hold a rally - this should be your next location! The lot can display 40 or more of your classic cars, or 100 or more of your valuable bikes; all while you sit out on the patio and enjoy a mouth watering lunch or dinner. Package buffets can be arranged – just ask for Mrs. Unruh and leave the planning to her.

Dinner at The Buckhorn

Our family friendly restaurant serves a wide variety of you favorite foods. Come and enjoy Mr. Finley’s classic Rib Eye Steak with Cracker Pepper or the Buckhorn’s famous Baby Back Ribs. If you’re looking for great pasta or chicken try the Penne Pasta with roasted vegetables or the Chicken Picata. Our mouth watering Burgers, Mexican Plates deserts and starters will keep you coming back for more! Tri-tip, Baby Back Rib’e, Steak Sandwiches- all of the best in Bar-B-Que fare are yours to enjoy with all of the “Fixins”.

Saturday Morning Breakfast

Ski Mt. Baldy

Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts, or “Baldy” for short, is a family owned and operated ski resort located in Mt. Baldy, California, on Mount San Antonio (aka Mt Baldy). The resort features traditional runs, chutes, and tree runs, and claims to be the “largest and steepest resort in Southern California”.

Biking, On-road & Off

Mt. Baldy is extremely popular with the biking community, considered one of the hardest – if not the hardest – climbs in all of Southern California. There are opportunities for mountain bikers as well, with an extensive system of bike-able trails and fire roads. Also the home of the anual Amgen bike tour.

Hiking Trails Galore

Perhaps the most popular draw to the Mt. Baldy area, is the hike to the summit of – the officially named – Mount San Antonio. Hiking trails access the summit from three sides of the mountain and one route is assisted on summer weekends by the availability of a running ski-area chair lift.

Camp at Manker Flats

If you’d like to turn your day-hike into an overnight adventure, check out the camp sites at Manker Flats Campground. Manker Flats serves as the base camp for hikers attempting Mt. Baldy summit hikes, and for backpackers venturing further into the great San Gabriel Mountains.

Mt. Baldy Trout Pools

The Mt. Baldy Trout Pools have been family owned and operated for over 50 years. Rent a pole, or bring your own and keep what you catch – perfect for the kids! Bait, fish cleaning and packing in ice is included. Be sure to check out their unique, antique tractor toy collection!

Scenic Lift Rides

Visiting Mt. Baldy in the summer? The Mt. Baldy Ski lifts run year round, providing a scenic ride to the top even when there’s no snow. Once you’re there, you can choose to hike down, or continue on to the summit of Mt. Baldy. Or, grab a bite at the Top Of The Notch restaurant & bar.

Amgen Race Visits Mt. Baldy

Get ready Mt. Baldy! The Tour of California (Amgen Tour of California) is an annual professional cycling stage race on the UCI America Tour and USA Cycling Professional Tour. It began on February 19, 2006. The eight-day race covers 650–700 miles throughout California. A typical edition might begin in Nevada City, travel through the redwoods, wine country and the Pacific Coast, and finish in a southern California city such as Escondido. The 2009 race crossed the Central Valley from Merced to Fresno, with an excursion through the Sierra Nevada foothills, before crossing to the coast. The tour is sponsored by Amgen, a large California-based biotech company.

The 7th stage of this years race is scheduled to pass through Mt. Baldy on Saturday, May 19th. It will start in Ontario, cover 78.3 miles, and end in Mt. Baldy. You can visit the official website for more information.
